Diluc is a pyro claymore user and is still a very viable choice to use as a DPS character. Utilizing his elemental skill and elemental burst will set enemies ablaze, provided they aren’t affected by pyro already. If built correctly, Diluc can keep up with the likes of Xiao and Ganyu for damage output in certain situations. Though he is much more reliant on elemental reactions than the aforementioned.

5 Star: Wolf’s Gravestone; Skyward Pride 4 Star: Serpents Spine; Prototype Archaic Obviously the 5 star weapons will typically be best in slot for any character. Though not everyone has access to them. Serpent Spine is a decent choice, though it is only available through the purchase of the Battle Pass. Also, Diluc often catches himself on fire when on grass, thus eliminating the bonus that this weapon offers. Prototype Archaic is often suggested since it can be crafted. However the player is also left at the mercy of RNG to get a Claymore Prototype drop. Luckily a claymore prototype is available for purchase in Liyue Harbor from Mingxing Jewelry for 225 Geo Sigils.

4 Piece: Increases Overloaded and Burning DMG by 40%. Increases Vaporize and Melt DMG by 15%. Using Elemental Skill increases the 2-Piece Set Bonus by 50% of its starting value for 10s. Max 3 stacks. This set can be farmed in the Hidden Palace of Zhou Formula domain. Having a 4 piece set on Diluc will show off his full potential as a DPS unit. Pairing him with Cryo users such as Ganyu and Chongyun or Hydro users like Childe and Mona are lethal combos.
Artifact Stat Preferences
ATK% / CRIT DMG / CRIT Rate / Pyro DMG Bonus / Energy Recharge The ideal set for Diluc would incorporate the aforementioned stats. Having ATK% on the Sands piece, Pyro DMG Bonus on the Goblet, and either CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG on the Circlet.
